The building that houses One Shot 257 is an architectural gem with a rich historical legacy. Built in 1879, it reflects the splendor of Barcelona’s bourgeoisie of the time, characterized by their inclination towards patronage of the arts. Alfaro-Manrique Atelier acted as architect on the restoration and conversion project for hotel use, developing an architectural project that highlighted the rich heritage of the building, respecting its historical essence and restoring its most distinctive elements.
The building stands out for its references to music, present in frescoes and interior coffered ceilings that evoke a unique atmosphere. In addition, the mosaic floors, with their fascinating range of colors, were meticulously preserved and restored, becoming the central theme that inspired the interior design project.
Every detail of the intervention sought to enhance the original character of the building, combining its rich heritage with a contemporary approach that respects its history. The result is a space that invites visitors to immerse themselves in a unique aesthetic and cultural experience, where architecture, art, and history dialogue in perfect harmony. The project is a testament to how architecture can revitalize and breathe new life into a historical legacy, preserving its soul while adapting to current needs.
